The Point in Time Survey, is held each year, the last week of January to get a count of individuals and families homeless in Macon County.  During a 24 hour period on 1/22, volunteers and staff try to cover the county and get the most accurate overview of the needs in Macon County.  Organized by the Homeless Council Advisory Committee and under the leadership of Millikin University's Mary Garrison.  To volunteer for a shift to do the survey between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on the 22nd, please email us at dove@doveinc.org. Volunteer training is 1/15. Continuum of Care, such as the one in Macon County, that receive HUD funds are required to do the count each year.
