We want you! Please consider volunteering for the Annual Point-in-Time (PIT) Homeless Count for Macon County. Each year it is essential to gain an accurate count of our homeless population in Macon County so we can evaluate services necessary to meet the needs of those needing housing, and it takes a team to make that happen! The 2018 PIT count is scheduled for Thursday, January 25, 2018, and there are shifts available between 5:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. - we would love to have you help out!
In order to be able to participate as a volunteer, a training is required (will take about 1-2 hours at the most) to learn about the process and what will be expected on the day of the count. The training is set for Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at 5:00 p.m.
If you have any interest, would like to know more, or want to sign up, please contact the PIT Coordinator, Mary Garrison,

This is a wonderful volunteer experience and a great way to learn more about homelessness in Macon County - we hope you will consider volunteering!
